I would have to say that my favorite movie is Troy. The foremost reason would be the acting. The actors, which include all stars like Brad Pitt and Orlando Bloom, make me believe that the story is actually occurring. When Achilles dies I've often found myself crying because of the sheer tragedy and depth of emotion of the star crossed characters on screen. The next reason would be the sets and the costumes. They manage to take me back to a completely different time and make it believable. For a while I'm in Ancient Greece. A place where there's gods and magic and tragedy. I get to see battlefields and castles and queens. It takes me away from life for a while. Finally, the storyline draws me in. It's a story of the fight for love and glory and recognition that on some level every human can relate with. I understand the motivation to want to live on after you're gone. To make a mark. So whenever I watch it, I'm watching a story close to my heart unfold. Each time hoping it'll end differently.
